Letter from the Treasurer
The Treasurer's Office is the property tax collector for Benton County and the Cities, School Districts, Fire Departments, and all the other taxing authorities in the County. Property Taxes are levied on the property by the various taxing authorities based on the valuation and current property usage as set by the Assessor's Office.
As the "banker" for Benton County, the County Treasurer's Office is also responsible for collecting all other money other County departments collect such as fees for services, licenses, and revenues from bond issues and special assessments.
As your Treasurer, I value your opinion and will consider it in establishing policies, designing services and updating our service to you. If we have let you down, please tell me. If you are pleased, I would like to hear that too.
